The fact that the show seems unable to add any kind of real depth to any character who not only isn’t white, but also well-off, is deeply disturbing, especially in light of the fact that it chose to ignore the racial politics of its source material, when, as others have pointed out, women of color tend to bear the brunt of reproductive injustice.
